FILM CLUB

On the 2nd Sunday of every month, we go to the cinema and then have a drink in Wetherspoons afterwards to discuss the film, the issues it raises, and how it might connect with our lives, wherever we are. If you like watching films, talking about them, or both, then come and join us.
................................................
Film Club is going to be supporting the Directors Chair series of films that Barnstaple Cinema are showing on Monday nights- we’ll be attending ‘The Mark of an Angel’ on Jan 18th, ‘Before the Rains’ on Feb 15th, and ‘Conversations with my Gardener’ on March 15th. After we’ve watched each of these films we’ll gather for some informal discussion about the issues that the film raises, and how they relate to our own perspectives on things (whether we come as a Christian or any other faith background).
..............................................................................
For more details on the films go to http://www.scottcinemas.co.uk/ or for more details on Film Club contact Andy on 371068.

SOUL CAFE - Worship with a different flavour!

Soul Cafe is a different kind of worship gathering. We meet at Barnstaple Baptist Church on the third Sunday evening of the month (6.30 p.m.) in a cafe-style setting to enjoy each other's company, drink great coffee (other drinks available!) and learn more about God.

It's all very laid back, with lots of stuff on DVD and an emphasis on discussion round your coffee table. Come along and enjoy a warm welcome (and a great cup of coffee!).

CHURCH OUTSIDE

Church Outside - on Sunday 26th September, we are going for a bike ride to Braunton followed by a drink at the Tarka Inn. Meet up at Barnstaple Civic Centre carpark for a 10am start (bring your own bike!). Further dates are: Sunday 25th October (walk at Wistlandpound) and November 22nd (details to be confirmed). We aim to get outside our church buildings and enjoy being in the natural world, coming together with those who also enjoy being active outdoors and would like to explore the Christian faith.
